In this
assignment, you will identify and describe federal and local community resources
for the prevention and treatment of substance use. This assignment contains two
parts:
Part
One: Resource Directory
Identify two
federal and five local community resources for addiction and substance
use. Create a table of the seven resources that will serve as an
information directory. Include the following for each resource:
1. Resource
name and description
2. Contact
information (address, phone number, website, etc.)
3. Services
offered
For the
resource directory, GCU style is not required, but solid academic writing is
expected.
Part
Two: Impact of the Resources
Write a
paper of 500-750 words evaluating the impact that the federal and community
resources listed in your directory have in the prevention and the success of
addiction and substance use disorders treatment.
The
paper should be prepared according to the guidelines found in the GCU Style
Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
Include
a minimum of four scholarly references in addition to the textbook in the
assignment.
This
assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the
assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
